this year we were invited to join our friend Chris Rio for the yearly birthday party at the McKenzie river in Central Oregon. The campground was right at the river and in the midst of old growth rain forest. A marvelous setting for our two day temporary home. After three hours of rafting the cold and swift rapids of the McKenzie river dinner tasted even better. The story telling around the camp fire was more fun with Tom's big hat from Guatemala. We passed on the hat to the next story teller - great idea Kevin! Great hat Tom! On Sunday we closed out the trip with blueberry picking at an organic farm in the McKenzie river Valley. Tom and Debbie showed us this very nice farm. A wonderful weekend and we had some time for pictures.
Thank you so much for joining our family friendly celebration. As you know, the kids had a really good time in the forest, on the river, and in camp. I really hope that all three of you, including Sofia, can join us next year.
